Happy Mother’s Day!

For this piece, I intentionally chose a more dynamic expression, as opposed to a plain ol’ smile. It proved to be a nightmare, because it was hard to get the eyes right (more often than not, I end up making my mom look creepy as hell), but I think I pulled it off.

The same cannot be said for the clothes though. I spent way too much time working on the face that I didn’t get to add many details to the rest of the picture. The clothes look so plain it’s almost as if my mom’s a gymnast or something. On the other hand though, the medal suddenly makes much more sense, plus it says something rather flattering I guess. So it’s just as well :P
